The short version
One press on a fixed panic switch silently alerts your response team in seconds. The same press can trigger a building-wide response, pre-recorded PA announcements, LED boards switched to instructions, bells signaling the alert, using the infrastructure your facility already owns. No app, no phone tree, no subscription.
Step One
The press: silent and instant.
A programmable panic switch sits where the risk sits: under the reception desk, at the nurse station, in the classroom, behind the counter. Pressing it takes one motion and no visible movement, so the person causing the problem never knows help was called. There is nothing to unlock, dial or open, which is why fixed buttons work in the moments apps do not.
Step Two
The alert chain fires in seconds.
The switch signals the system core, which executes the response you configured per button: a discreet alert to security or management, a zoned warning to one building, or a facility-wide emergency response. Every event lands in a log with a timestamp, the documentation your prevention plan, your insurer and your counsel all want after an incident.
Step Three
The building responds as one.
This is where owned infrastructure pays off. Pre-recorded lockdown or evacuation audio plays over the PA system, LED message boards switch to LOCKDOWN, EVACUATE or ALL-CLEAR instructions, and bells sound emergency tones distinct from their schedule. The full endpoint picture is on the school lockdown system page; the same chain serves every industry on our industries hub.
Step Four
Reset, review, ready again.
Authorized staff clear the alert and review the event log. The system is ready again immediately, no service call, no re-arm fee, no monitoring company to phone. Drills run on your calendar so muscle memory is fresh when it counts.
Installation
Weeks, not construction seasons.
Most deployments are retrofits of occupied buildings, so they are engineered to avoid opening walls. Fixed switches are PoE or wireless on our licensed 467 MHz UHF campus signal, and existing PA, bell and clock hardware is reused rather than replaced, the path detailed on our safety retrofit page. A typical single building is configured, installed and trained in days; multi-building campuses are staged by wing so nothing goes offline.
