What is a school bell system?

A school bell system is a scheduled signaling installation that rings class-change, dismissal and event bells automatically throughout the day. Modern wireless systems trigger existing bells or play tones over PA speakers from a GPS-locked schedule, so every bell rings on time, every time, with no manual clock-watching.

Bells that ring late rob teaching time; bells that ring wrong cause chaos. Innovation Wireless bell systems run up to 99 schedules and 9,999 events from the same GPS-locked time base as your clocks, class changes, dismissals, assemblies and shift signals, all automatic.

How It Works

Your schedule. Our signal. Their bells, or ours.

A compact tone generator holds your bell schedule and receives accurate GPS time wirelessly from the KRONOsync® transmitter. It can drive your existing physical bells and buzzers, or play tones and recorded messages over a wireless, Wi-Fi or PoE speaker system. Networked sites can manage everything through IP-PoE tone generators from one screen.

Specification Detail

Bells are also an emergency endpoint: in our school lockdown system, the same scheduling network can sound alert patterns from a panic button press, alongside PA audio and LED instructions.

FAQ

School bell system questions

Can we keep our existing bells?
Yes. In most buildings the bells are fine; it is the old controller that fails. Our tone generators drive your existing bells, so you keep the hardware and lose the headaches.
How many bell schedules can we run?
Up to 99 schedules with 9,999 individual events, regular days, half days, assemblies, exam weeks and summer schedules, all selectable in advance.
Can bells play over our PA speakers instead of physical bells?
Yes. You can send a variety of tones and recorded messages over a wireless, Wi-Fi or PoE speaker system, or mix speakers and physical bells by zone.
Is this only for schools?
No. The same scheduling engine runs shift-change and break signals in manufacturing, warehouses and industrial sites.
